Front Office Attendant – The Settlement Hotel

Are you passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences?

The Settlement Hotel in Cranbourne is looking for motivated, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Front Office Attendants to join our friendly team

As the first point of contact for our guests, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional service from check-in to check-out while assisting with all guest and visitor enquiries.

Position: Casual (with potential to transition to Part-Time)

Location: The Settlement Hotel, Cranbourne

Availability: Morning & afternoon shifts across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays

Roster: 7-day rotating roster between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Hours: Approx. 20+ hours per week (flexibility essential), 3-4 shifts a week

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the first point of contact and deliver a high standard of customer service at all times
• Perform efficient check-ins and check-outs, including credit card and cash handling
• Manage reservations via phone, email, and online booking channels (OTAs)
• Operate Newbook or a similar property management system (preferred, but not essential)
• Respond professionally to guest enquiries via phone, email, and in person
• Assist with internal and external communication and administration
• Support other departments with printing, laminating, and various office duties
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail
• Contribute to a positive and proactive team culture

About You:

• Previous hotel or reception experience (preferred but not essential)
• Strong communication, computer, and multitasking skills
• Professional, friendly, and confident manner
• Flexible and reliable – available across weekends and public holidays
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
