As Australia's longest-running arts festival, for 70 years we have been celebrating Perth, its people and its culture on the shores of the Derbarl Yerrigan (Swan River). Founded by The University of Western Australia and grounded on Noongar Boodjar, we are uniquely placed to celebrate the oldest living cultures in the world by championing rich Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander traditions and contemporary arts practice.

We have cultivated decades of cultural growth through commissioning major new works and engaging diverse audiences.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a driven and detail-oriented Campaign Manager to lead the planning, delivery and optimisation of performance-led marketing campaigns for Perth Festival 2026.

This is a high-impact role. You'll own paid media strategy, coordinate cross-channel activity, and ensure campaigns land box office and audience growth targets. You'll also mentor the Marketing Coordinator and act as second-in-command to the Senior Marketing Manager during peak delivery.

PF26 priorities include growing loyalty, reactivating returning audiences, and deepening engagement with under-35s. As Campaign Manager, you'll play a central role in delivering on those ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Strategy & Planning

• Translate program and audience insights into integrated marketing plans
• Build and manage paid media strategies across Meta, Google, programmatic, OOH, print and audio
• Set budgets, flighting, targeting cohorts, and success metrics

Execution & Delivery

• Manage end-to-end campaign delivery, from planning through rollout
• Oversee creative production with internal teams and external agencies
• Ensure all campaigns are delivered on time and within budget

Team Leadership & Support

• Supervise the Marketing Coordinator, setting clear goals and supporting growth
• Foster collaboration across marketing streams to ensure seamless execution

Performance & Optimisation

• Monitor campaign metrics and pivot in real time to maximise ROI
• Produce post-campaign reports with insights and recommendations
• Work closely with analytics, ticketing, and digital teams to inform strategy

Stakeholder Engagement

• Align with the programming team to ensure campaigns reflect Festival priorities
• Maintain strong partnerships with media, sponsors, and vendors
• Coordinate cross-team efforts for unified messaging and delivery

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Proven success in running end-to-end marketing campaigns (ideally in events, arts, or similar industries)
• Deep understanding of paid media, content marketing, and cross-channel integration
• Experience managing campaign budgets and reallocating spend in-flight
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders
• Comfort under pressure and confidence managing competing deadlines
• Experience mentoring or managing junior staff

Bonus if you also have:

• Familiarity with Tessitura, Asana, Trello, or other marketing tools
• Knowledge of the WA arts and culture landscape
• A passion for the arts and audience experience
