Manning Gardens is a beautiful and dynamic Preschool To Year 6 educational setting on the NSW mid north coast. We take pride in providing a safe, caring and inclusive learning environment where students and staff grow through quality teaching and learning. Manning Gardens Public School has an enrolment of approximately 245 students. 65% of our students have an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background and we strive to provide a trauma informed approach to wellbeing and community relations. Our staff are passionate, enthusiastic and resilient. They are committed to our students, families and community through strong home, school and community partnerships.
Selection Criteria- Approval to teach Library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education, with the ability to develop and deliver high quality release from face to face programs. 
- Evidence of highly developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to work as part of a collaborative team and build positive and authentic relationships with students, staff, parents and carers and the wider community. 
- Well developed skills in managing student behaviour and engagement with a proven capacity to support students via trauma informed practices. 
- Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and an understanding of cultural responsive practices in a school with a high percentage of Aboriginal students. 
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
Special NotesThis is a permanent part-time position 3 days per week, 0.6 FTE (full-time equivalent)
If applicable, engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education which must be completed within 24 months.
