The Role Day-to-Day

This is not your average finance role, this is a critical role central to ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes so our projects and people thrive Your days might include:

  • Managing end-to-end accounts payable and receivable, you will be the point person for all things invoicing, payment runs, and reconciliation.
  • Running accurate and compliant fortnightly payroll using Xero and Employment Hero.
  • Supporting month-end reporting, internal audits, and financial accuracy across multiple ledgers.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline finance processes and boost operational efficiency.
  • Being a trusted go-to for team members with finance queries, while keeping your finger on the pulse of compliance and reporting.

Whether you're processing a payroll cycle or reconciling a supplier statement, your commitment to detail and timeliness will keep the wheels turning smoothly.

What You Bring

You're a detail-oriented finance professional with a knack for numbers, systems, and structure. You're as comfortable reconciling a ledger as you are chatting with stakeholders about a purchase order or payroll query.

You'll thrive here if you have:

  • Experience across AP/AR and payroll processing, ideally with Xero.
  • A relevant qualification in finance, accounting, or similar (bonus points if you're CA/CPA qualified).
  • You value accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
  • An ability to juggle multiple tasks, especially during month-end, payment runs, and payroll cycles.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks, award interpretation, and payroll legislation.
  • A continuous improvement mindset. You're not just about ticking boxes; you're looking to make things better.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and accounting.
