establish and lead a Civil Engineering discipline
in Australia.

This is a ground-up leadership role with a focus on building standards, processes, and capability. With an established portfolio across
data centres, defence, healthcare, and education
, to name a few, you'll leverage an existing client base while building a team and expanding civil engineering services into a fully integrated part of the consultancy's offering. A
long-term shareholder pathway
adds further alignment and influence to this business-shaping position.

The Opportunity

As the
Civil Group Lead
, you will:

  • Establish and grow
    a Civil Engineering team in Sydney, shaping its capability, standards, and culture.
  • Lead civil design packages across major projects, with a strong focus on
    data centres
    (stormwater and flooding assessments, Sydney Water approvals / Section 73, utilities augmentation, roads and access, earthworks).
  • Collaborate with in-house experts across
    building services, structures, and sustainability
    to deliver integrated, future-ready design solutions.
  • Build and nurture client relationships, strengthening existing partnerships while unlocking new opportunities in key growth sectors.
  • Develop and implement
    processes, procedures, and technical standards
    to ensure consistent excellence in delivery.
  • Represent the practice externally, building presence in the Sydney market and across industry forums.
  • Play a key role in shaping business direction, with the opportunity to participate in a
    shareholding program
    aligned with the global company.

Who You Are

  • 15+ years' experience in civil engineering design within consulting.
  • Proven leadership capability, with experience leading civil packages on major projects, with a preferred focus on
    data centres and/or health infrastructure
    .
  • Strong technical expertise across stormwater/flooding, Sydney Water approvals, utilities augmentation, roads/access, and earthworks.
  • A collaborative leader with the ability to build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team.
  • Commercially astute, balancing design excellence with business growth and client value.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer.
