We are currently seeking Level 2 and above Belt Splicers for full-time and casual roles across shutdowns, projects, and ongoing maintenance scopes.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Certificate III in Polymer Processing

Working at Heights (within 2 years)

Confined Space Entry & Gas Test Atmospheres (within 2 years)

White Card (Construction Induction)

Current Australian Driver's Licence

Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening

Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with:

  • Hot and cold splicing (fabric and steel cord)

  • Pulley lagging (rubber, ceramic, poly)

  • Belt change-outs, repairs, and inspections
  • Shutdown preparation and execution

Desirable:

  • High Risk Work Licence (EWP, Rigging, Dogging, HR)
  • Rio Tinto, FMG, Min Res or BHP inductions

Responsibilities

  • Perform belt splicing, change-outs, and repairs in accordance with site procedures and WA safety legislation
  • Conduct pre-starts, inspections, and complete job documentation
  • Promote and uphold Engel's safety-first culture
  • Travel to site as required (FIFO)
  • Work independently and as part of a high-performing team
