We're on the lookout for a motivated and hands-on 2IC Production / Machine Operator to join our food manufacturing team This is a blended role that combines the technical skills of a Machine Operator with the leadership support of a Team Leader - perfect for someone looking to step up and take on more responsibility while still being on the tools.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Work across a 3-week rotating shift pattern:

  • Week 1: 7:30 am – 4:15 pm

  • Week 2: 3:50 pm – 12:00 am (15% Loading)
  • Week 3: 11:50 pm – 8:00 am (20% Loading)
  • Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure smooth, safe and efficient output.
  • Support the Team Leader with daily coordination of production activities.
  • Act as the go-to backup when Team Leaders are away or need assistance.
  • Lead by example on the floor, driving performance, safety, and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and escalate production or equipment issues as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to HAACP & WHS standards.
  • Assist with training and mentoring new operators.

What We're Looking For:

  • Someone with machine operating experience in a food manufacturing environment – leadership experience is a big plus.
  • A natural leader – someone who's confident stepping up and supporting the team.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset.
  • Reliable, punctual and committed to quality output.
  • Understanding of safety, quality control, daily production targets & HAACP guidelines.
  • Experience in a Team Leader or 2IC capacity will be highly regarded.

Additional Requirements:

  • Proof of Right to Work in Australia (e.g., Australian Birth Certificate, Passport, or Permanent Residency Visa)
  • Successful applicants will be required to complete a Federal Police Check and Medical Test
  • Completion of Programmed Induction Documents is required prior to client interview
