THE ROLE

The Senior Construction Procurement Officer will work closely with Project Managers within the Housing Development Branch and Homes Victoria, providing support by:

• Providing expert advice about Public Construction and Goods & Services procurement processes, negotiations, approval frameworks and control gates to internal clients and stakeholders.
• Actively monitoring and reporting on project progress, particularly in relation to project commitments and forecast, and project risks to resolve any difficulties as they arise.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders, internal and external, to facilitate a partnership approach to working with the industry.
• Promoting best practice procurement processes.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

• Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
• Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and for that of others in the workplace by working in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate how the actions and outcomes of this role and work unit impact clients and the department's ability to deliver, or facilitate the delivery of, effective support and services.
