Key responsibilities
  • Apply long-term plans to align with corporate goals and maximize resource value.
  • Align 5-year and Life Of Mine (LOM) plans, and integrated Strategic Plan.
  • Deliver modelling for various mining scenarios and options using advanced simulation tools for the underground mines, and presentation to regional stakeholders.
  • Drive the integration of mine plans with current operations to ensure operational continuity. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop plans that addresses technical, environmental, and economic challenges.
  • Optimize planning granularity 5-year by increasing the level of detail in scheduling, and budgeting
  • Support the estimation of mineral reserves and resources annually.
  • Represent mine, phase designs, options, trade-offs, and LOM schedules for approval and feedback.
  • Maintain accurate cave production schedule flow modelling
You will also possess the following:
  • Qualified Mining Engineer with significant relevant experience in block caving and scheduling.
  • Experience mine planning, studies and business improvement initiatives
  • Advanced mine planning and analysis capabilities
  • Competent in the use of mining software packages, PCBC and Deswik
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
  • Ability to think strategically and effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders
