You will be providing support to internal customers and the procurement team through the ongoing improvement of the procurement function and management of supplier relationships to provide better outcomes for Capral.  This role will also be responsible for the quoting and procurement for both domestic and imported aluminium products.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Liaise and develop relationships with Capral's suppliers to the best advantage of Capral.
  • Ordering and management of rolled and extruded products, stainless steel mesh, hardware, and consumables.
  • Report, liaise and manage vendor performance.
  • Coordinate open order reports ensuring information provided is accurate in the system.
  • Price negotiation with domestic and international vendors
  • Work closely with the business to determine ongoing supply requirements and 'at risk' vendors
  • Assist in the review of Contracts, Vendors and tender processes.
  • Co-ordination of vendor rationalisation, maintenance, and management of supply agreements
  • Improvement of the procurement processes through standardisation of material master data and databases.
  • Work closely and support sales team enquiries to delivery best outcome for Capral.
  • Liaise with Product Development in the specification and prototyping phase of newly introduced products and vendor selection
  • Process improvement and identifying opportunities to reduce costs and implementing solutions

To be considered applicants SHOULD have:

  • Relevant qualifications in Procurement or considerable experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office packages and Excel.
  • Proven problem solving, research and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement
