Independent Living Disability Services provides a range of supports and services to people across Melbourne and NSW.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a support worker to work with participants that have complex behaviour, including Autism.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have experience
  • Relevant qualification in Mental Health, Community Services, or equivalent
  • Proven ability to manage high-risk, high-complexity participants
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and crisis response skills
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS, restrictive practices, and safeguarding
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening, WWCC, First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009)
  • National Police Check (within the last 12 months)
  • Full Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
  • Must have the right to work in Australia
  • Must be confident working independently
  • 2 Manger references - work number

Mandatory Requirements

  • Australian resident
  • Workers Screening Check, Working with Childrens and First Aid + CPR
  • At least two years experience working in a similar role
  • Have a vehicle with current comprehensive car insurance
  • Australian Licence

The ideal person will be friendly, fun, have lots of energy and engaging to build a therapeutic relationship to successfully assist our clients within their home.
