Duralloy Truck Bodies is a family owned and operated business since 1989. They are manufacturers of H/Duty Aluminum Truck Bodies including Tray backs, Tippers and Custom-Built Service Body Fit-outs. Their products are Engineer Tested and Certified with 'SWL' Ratings to prove their strength and for your safety. They custom build and fit accessories to suit a variety of Industries and applications and our Product Range can be tailor made to suit all model Trucks up to 16.0T GVM. They currently supply all types of Industries including many Council, Fleet and Government Departments and work in closely with Duratray Transport Equipment to provide a total solution for both Utes & Trucks for many of the larger Corporate Organizations.

Responsibility:

A Fitter-Welder fits, assembles and welds metal parts and subassemblies to fabricate production machines and other equipment.

Duties:

  • Interprets engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Measures metal components for cutting, shaping and welding.
  • Fits and assembles metal parts according to engineering specifications.
  • Cuts and shapes metal components using hand and power tools.
  • Welds metal components using various welding techniques.
  • Cleans welds by filing, chiseling and grinding.
  • Inspects and tests welded components for quality and compliance with specifications.

Qualifications:

  • AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training
  • AQF Certificate IV

Experience

  • At least three years of relevant experience.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Proficient in MIG, TIG, Stick, and oxy-acetylene welding.
  • Skilled in fitting, fabrication, assembly, and machinery maintenance.
  • Able to read technical drawings and use precision tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Committed to workplace safety and quality standards.
  • Reliable, adaptable, and effective both independently and in teams.
