We are regularly tendering for works in the Brisbane &/or greater QLD area and are seeking expressions of interest from experienced professional Civil Project Managers in the road construction / maintenance industry interested in joining us and capable of committing to the following assignments for a period of approximately 1 - 2 years with a possibility of ongoing extensions and other projects.

Significant road construction and maintenance delivery experience will be required to manage & lead the projects, during the delivery phase from a contractor's standpoint which would include the need to be competent with the following areas.

• Budgeting, programming, monitoring expenditure, controlling resources and reviewing priorities.

• Manage Labour, Plant, Materials and Subcontract within budget and time constraints.

• Undertaking various contract management activities including client liaison.

• Procurement of road making materials and project services within guidelines.

• Implement PM techniques and systems in accordance with systems and processes.

• Submit reports and provide information to management within timeframes.

• Train and guide project staff on specifications and construction processes.

• Contribute to the estimating process for bids or offers.

• A high standard in traffic management.

• Strong experience & knowledge of TMR Technical Specifications,

• Working knowledge of 3PCM, SAP, P6 or other similar project management packages an advantage,

• Strong written, verbal communication & computer literacy skills,

• Experience with QMS, and their effective application on construction projects,

• Experience with Project Management Systems, including Safety and Environment.

The hours are variable from 40 per week+ , however longer hours & weekend work may be required to suit work load.  The roles can be Brisbane &/or greater QLD based, however some work away in regional or remote locations may be required depending on requirements.

Qualifications.

• Possession of a degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent Civil Engineering qualification, which is accepted by the Institution of Engineers Australia as a full Member (MIEAust) or alternatives like a Bachelor of Tech / Civil etc may be acceptable if you have the work experience.

*Prior TMR Pre-Qualification as a PMC01 would be a distinct advantage.

You must have the right to work in Australia, with well-developed interpersonal and consultative skills, at least 5 years prior Australian experience in the Civil Roads Infrastructure Industry working with QLD Councils, DTMR &/or any Australian State Road Authority, directly or indirectly & Strictly Australian Residents, already living here only.

You must also possess a current drivers licence.
