About the Role
We're looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our dedicated team within the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). In this rewarding role, you'll provide expert physiotherapy care as a Senior Physiotherapist within the Medicine team at the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH), working closely with a supportive multidisciplinary team. You'll apply your advanced clinical skills to help improve patient outcomes across the clinical areas of General Medicine, Geriatrics, EDGE (ED Geriatric Evaluation) and the Acute Medical Assessment Unit (AMU), while also playing a key role in service planning and contributing to the development of best practice models of care.
As a senior clinician, you'll also support and mentor junior staff and students, share your knowledge through education activities, and provide valuable consultancy to both your peers and management. This position is part of a 7-day service, including regular weekend work, offering the opportunity to make a real impact every day. About You
You're a dedicated and experienced physiotherapist who thrives in a dynamic, patient-centred environment and is ready to take the next step in your career. You bring a strong clinical foundation, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to excellence in care and service improvement. To be successful in this role, you will have:
Qualifications & Experience: A recognised degree in Physiotherapy and registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia, along with substantial experience in your clinical specialty, including complex case management and staff or student supervision.
Advanced Clinical Skills: Proven ability to apply high-level clinical judgement, deliver evidence-based, patient-centred care, and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
Leadership & Teamwork: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead within a multidisciplinary team, mentor junior staff, and contribute to service development initiatives.
Flexibility & Resilience: Physically capable and adaptable, with a calm and reliable approach to out-of-hours work (including weekends/public holidays) and the ability to work across services when needed.
