Perth, Western Australia St John of God Health Care Inc Full time $115,000 - $128,000 per year

Welcome to St John of God Health Care

St John of God Health Care is one of the largest private providers of health care services in Australia, employing more than 16,000 employees (caregivers). We operate 26 hospitals and services comprising more than 3,300 hospital beds, including home nursing, disability services and social outreach programs.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Portfolio Management Officer to join our Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) - the team that drives governance, assurance, and performance across the project portfolio.

In this role, you will play a vital part in helping projects succeed from initiation to completion, supporting both delivery teams and executives with the right tools, processes, and insights to make informed decisions.

As a key member of the EPMO, you will:

  • Coordinate Project Lifecycles:

Guide and support projects through the phases of the SJOGHC project delivery lifecycle from initiation through transition into operations (BAU).
  • Enhance Project Quality & Assurance:

Conduct quality assurance reviews, assess project reports and deliverables, and ensure alignment with our delivery frameworks and governance standards.
  • Support Governance & Assurance Leads:

Partner closely with the EPMO's Governance and Assurance Managers to deliver consistent oversight and uplift portfolio maturity.
  • Maintain and Improve EPMO Assets:

Support the continuous improvement of our key frameworks, templates, tools, and document repositories to make project delivery simpler and more effective.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, strengthen governance, and improve the way our EPMO operates.
  • Provide Expert Support & Insights:

Manage project service requests, maintain our portfolio management systems, and assist with reporting and analytics that inform executive decision-making.

You will be someone who thrives in structured environments and has a keen eye for detail-comfortable solving problems, improving processes, and working collaboratively across diverse teams. You bring at least two years of experience in an EPMO, PMO, or similar project support setting, along with strong stakeholder management and communication skills that enable you to confidently engage with both senior leaders and project teams.

Your solid data analysis and reporting capabilities, particularly in Microsoft Excel, reflect your strong overall computer literacy. You're passionate about continuous improvement, quality, and delivery excellence. Familiarity with tools such as Planview PPM, Tempus, or Oracle is highly regarded, though not essential.

In this role, you'll be part of a high-performing and supportive team that plays a central role in delivering change across the organisation. We offer a collaborative environment where your ideas for improvement are welcomed and acted upon, along with exposure to enterprise-level projects that make a real impact in the healthcare sector. You will have opportunities to learn, grow, and help shape our evolving project management practices-while being part of a values-driven organisation where people and purpose are always the priority.

Above all, people will be at the core of everything you do committing to and supporting our Mission and Values.

We can offer you

  • $115,000 to 128,000 per annum, plus 12% superannuation
  • 12-month fixed term contract
  • Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap on items such as:
