About the role

We're seeking experienced and beginning qualified primary teachers to support students from Prep to Year 6 (typically aged 5 to 12). Permanent and temporary roles are available across Queensland, commencing in 2026.

As a primary teacher, you'll be responsible for:

  • delivering a diverse and engaging curriculum across the key subject areas
  • creating inclusive classrooms that support diverse learners
  • working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and the community.

Skills and experience

We're looking for teachers who demonstrate high professional standards, knowledge and relevant experience. To be eligible, you'll need:

  • a qualification from an approved initial teacher education program
  • registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
  • working rights in Australia, either as a citizen, resident, or visa holder with valid work rights.

If you are in your final year of study, you can start your application before you graduate to help you secure your first position sooner.
