About The Role
As a teacher at Berrinba East State School, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching aligned with the Australian Curriculum, with a strong focus on differentiation to meet the needs of every learner.
  • Foster positive and respectful relationships with students, families, and colleagues to build a safe, supportive, and high-expectation learning environment.
  • Use effective behaviour and classroom management strategies to create an engaging, focused, and inclusive classroom culture.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a professional learning community, supported through instructional coaching, mentoring, and shared planning time.
  • Contribute to our whole-school focus on inclusive practices, play-based pedagogy in the early years, and the integration of trauma-informed approaches and digital learning tools.

What We're Looking For

  • A demonstrated commitment to inclusive, student-centred teaching that responds to diverse learning needs.
  • Strong capability in curriculum knowledge, differentiation, and classroom management.
  • A proven ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

Desirable

  • Knowledge or experience in trauma-informed practice, co-teaching models, and the use of digital learning tools to enhance engagement.
  • A strong understanding of Play Pedagogy and its application in early years education.
