Now Hiring: Senior ICT Network Architect / Engineer

We are seeking an experienced
Network Architect
to join a high-profile
federal government client
on a major program of work. This is a
hands-on senior role
where you'll help design and deliver cutting-edge network solutions in a complex broadcast environment.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement
    IP-based network architectures
    in a broadcast environment.
  • Lead
    current-state assessments
    , define
    remediation plans
    , and deliver
    target architectures
    .
  • Engineer
    spine-leaf fabrics with redundancy
    and unified
    management/control layers
    .
  • Configure
    VLAN / ACL / VRF segmentation
    , monitoring integrations (SolarWinds, Splunk), and perform
    failover testing
    .
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across infrastructure, network ops, cyber, and enterprise architecture.
  • Provide
    knowledge transfer, documentation, and operational handovers
    .

Technical Skills We Value

  • 5+ years' enterprise networking experience with
    deep L2/L3 (OSPF / IS-IS / BGP)
    , multicast, and QoS/DiffServ.
  • Proven expertise in
    spine-leaf network design and operations
    .
  • Strong background in
    routing, switching, VPNs, troubleshooting, telemetry diagnostics, and DMZ design
    .
  • Familiarity with
    cloud architectures
    and hybrid environments.
  • Hands-on with
    Wireshark, model-driven telemetry, and monitoring tools
    .

Desirable Extras

  • Knowledge of
    video/audio over IP protocols
    .
  • Familiarity with
    low-latency broadcast networks
    and standards like SMPTE ST 2110, DANTE, AES-67, and IEEE 1588 (PTP).

Contract Details

  • Closing date:
    Thursday, 09 October 2025
    • 11:59pm (Canberra time)
  • Start date:
    Monday, 17 November 2025
  • Initial contract:
    12 months + 12-month extension option
  • Location:
    ACT (hybrid work – 3+ days in office, flexible WFH available)
  • Clearance:
    Must be able to obtain
    NV1 Security Clearance
  • Eligibility:
    Australian Citizenship required
  • Level:
    EL1 equivalent

What We're Looking For

  • Strong
    problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills
    .
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to work in
    multi-vendor, cross-functional teams
    .
  • Previous consulting/contracting experience in
    government or large enterprise environments
    .
  • Certifications such as
    Cisco CCNA / CCNP / CCIE
    (or equivalent).
