About The Role
The League Supervisor is responsible for the venue coordination and delivery of Territory Leagues on a weekly basis. Creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment for players, parents and spectators. This casual position will be rostered for specific weeks during the Tennis NT Territory Leagues Seasons.
In this role you will:
- Greet teams on arrival, allocate balls and direct teams to match courts.
- Inspect all courts to ensure they are ready for play. Notify teams in the case of wet weather or other unplayable conditions.
- Supervise venue during matches, assist to resolve on court matters, assign Team Supervisors to adjudicate if required.
- Communicate any weekly incidents, injuries or issues to the Competitions & Tournaments Coordinator.
- Evaluate competition structure and/or procedures and suggest improvements where required.
- Enter all match results into League Manager.
About You
To be successful in this role you will:
- Ability to learn sport specific competition software and systems
- Exceptional people management skills and the ability to demonstrate initiative, prioritise tasks and deal with conflict
- Knowledge of Tennis scoring, the Rules of Tennis and Tennis Etiquette and Rules for Non-Umpired Matches
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
- Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis NT
