**About the Role**

The College is seeking to appoint an outstanding music educator to lead the string section of its Music Department. This is a permanent full-time (1.0 FTE) position, with a commencement date as soon as possible.

Music at Newington College is exceptionally strong with very healthy numbers studying elective music and either the Higher School Certificate (HSC) or IB Diploma Programme (IBDP). Many students are engaged in numerous co-curricular ensembles across the four areas:

- Choral
- Strings
- Brass, Woodwind, Percussion
- Contemporary

An ability and willingness to contribute to the pastoral care and co-curricular music program will be required. All staff must be supportive of the Uniting Church ethos of the College.

**About You**
- appropriate tertiary qualifications in Music and Education
- the ability to further develop and lead the Strings program
- strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- excellent organisational and planning capabilities
- s proven track record as an effective classroom and co-curricular music educator (Strings)
- an understanding of the learning needs of boys and the ability to engage them across all levels
- proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning
- a collaborative, team-oriented approach
- a genuine commitment to pastoral care
- a willingness to contribute to the broader co-curricular life of the school.
