What does the job look like?

Linfox's Intermodal business unit is actively seeking an experienced AM Transport Allocator to join our dynamic team based in West Melbourne, ensuring that deadlines are met in a timely and efficient manner. With your exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to multitask you will support our team by allocating, route planning, and dispatching deliveries. This role is on the AM Shift working Tuesday to Friday 7am-3pm and Saturday 5am-1pm, with any overtime as required. Key areas:

  • Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders, providing clear instructions and building positive relationships
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to manifests, delivery schedules and compliance
  • Maintaining regular contact with our customer to keep them updated and well-informed about their scheduled deliveries or changes that will impact them
  • Monitoring service schedules for fleet & completing accurate handovers for PM shift team each day
  • Completing Yard checks and meeting Safety KPI's
