Depot Operations Officer – Cold Storage Facility

We're seeking an experienced Depot Operations Officer to join our team supporting local manufacturing and production businesses.
In this varied role, you'll oversee day-to-day warehouse administration, coordinate forklift drivers, and ensure the smooth flow of goods in and out of the facility. You'll also take ownership of key financial tasks, including invoicing clients, managing accounts payable and receivable, and preparing accounts for our bookkeeper.
While primarily office-based, you'll also provide practical support in the warehouse when needed - including operating forklifts to backfill or assist Depot Officers during busy periods.

About the Role - Key Responsibilities
- Manage all warehouse administration, record-keeping, and documentation for incoming/outgoing goods.
- Oversee forklift operators and daily warehouse activities to ensure safe, efficient operations.
- Coordinate logistics and scheduling with clients and transport providers.
- Handle financial administration - invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliation.
- Maintain compliance with food safety, temperature control, and OH&S requirements.
- Operate forklifts to support warehouse operations when required.
About You
- Strong administrative background, ideally in a warehouse, logistics, or cold storage environment.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Competent with inventory or warehouse management systems.
- Experience with invoicing and basic bookkeeping tasks.
- Ability to work autonomously with little to no supervision.
- Current forklift licence (LF) preferred or willingness to obtain one.
