About You:

The successful candidate will bring their previous production experience, mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail. About the role:

Reporting to the Procurement, Compliance & Planning Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all standard line productivity and bottling quality standards are achieved. You will also have a strong focus on Health & Safety standards and be committed to ensuring continuous improvement and adherence in this area. With strong, demonstrated capabilities in troubleshooting, problem-solving and decision making, this opportunity will see you take your career to the next level as a leader.

Key responsibilities will also include:

• Key focus on shift efficiency and output in line to budget and weekly schedule.
• Awareness of Packaging Operations and the continual improvement to drive efficiencies.
• Preparation of packaging lines utilising mechanical and computer skills.
• Supervise and assist staff with the operation of equipment and machinery on a daily basis.
• Adhere to and enforce all Standard Operating Procedures.
• Manage and maintain dry goods for production and record wastage.
• Carry out routine line set ups as per schedule requirements; and
• Building strong relationships and work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the Merbein Packaging Winery site.

This position operates on a weekly rotation shift pattern including day, night, and afternoon shifts.

Physical capabilities to perform the inherent duties of the role are; frequently standing and walking; frequently using fine motor hand skills; stretching, twisting and reaching with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or occasionally crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 5 kg, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 kg, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 kg. The candidate must have the ability to interpret verbal and written instruction.

The successful candidate will have:

• A minimum of 1-2 years of supervisory experience - will be highly regarded.
• A Quality and Safety Conscientious mindset with an aptitude for continual improvements
• Relationship Focused: Will excel in building relationships and support strong communication within the Production team.
• Excellent Communication Skills: This role requires a high degree of stakeholder management and presenting both internally and externally.The successful applicant is comfortable working closely with multiple stakeholders but is also confident addressing groups.
• Agile: As our business continues to grow, we are looking for individuals who excel in a fast-paced environment and high-pact roles.
• Is task focused and comfortable in providing a strong level support to meet operational demands.
• Previous Experience: The successful candidate will have previously experience working in a supervisory capacity. Experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) production environment is highly desirable.
• Australian work rights are required for this position. Forklift Licence is an advantage.
