About the company/role:

Evolve Scientific Recruitment is seeking a National Quality Systems, Regulatory and Project Coordinator, to collaborate and support the National Quality/Ops Managers and supporting teams, for our client, an Australian owned food value add processor. Based in Sydney's Western Suburbs at a state of the art processing facility.

Seeking an established Quality SME, reporting to the GM Quality. Lead the national drive to ensure the multiple sites are audit ready and compliant, at all times.

This position has no direct reports, however proven leadership experience, will engage and drive the senior leadership team to coach, mentor and implement CI projects to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, food safety and quality standards.

As a member of the SLT, there is strong growth potential for GM / Head of role in the future.

This role is site based and very hands on with production and operations on the floor.

Duties:

  • Provide leadership nationally for all matters relating to QMS, regulatory and compliance.
  • Ensure internal, external and customer audits are scheduled, compliant and actioned
  • Work on projects eg eQMS roll out, CI, regulatory updates
  • High visibility on site / production floor, driving change to uplift staff, ensuring quality is a focus of all staff.
  • Perform Regulatory duties including implementation of products, preparation, review and approval of technical documentation for compliance.

Skills/experience:

  • Several years' experience as an established Quality Assurance leader in the food industry
  • Qualifications in food science or related
  • Experience working in a FMCG, dynamic environment with knowledge and understanding of modern manufacturing improvement techniques essential
  • Extensive experience in SQF/WQA, HACCP, ISO, GMP standards
  • Excellent leadership, resilience and communication skills essential
  • Ability to be the subject matter expert in QMS
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
