Trade Sphere Group is seeking a qualified Fitter Machinist to join our team. This full-time role supports our in-house machinery manufacturing at our Penrith facility and external client projects across the manufacturing and industrial sectors. It's perfect for a skilled and adaptable Fitter Machinist who excels in both workshop and on-site environments, with proven experience in mechanical maintenance, fitting, and equipment repairs.

What We're Looking For

  • Required: Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in mechanical maintenance and repair (dairy/food/beverage sector preferred)
  • Strong skills in pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical assembly
  • Restricted electrical disconnect/reconnect ticket (desirable, not essential)
  • High attention to detail, initiative, and a flexible work attitude
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Commitment to workplace safety and high customer service standards in manufacturing environments
  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence

What You'll Be Doing

Based out of our Penrith workshop, you'll also work on-site with clients throughout Greater Sydney, with some interstate travel opportunities.

  • Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment
  • Conduct fitting and mechanical assembly tasks
  • Interpret technical drawings and ensure high-quality maintenance work
  • Use internal systems for job records and time tracking
  • Maintain site inductions and safety compliance, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
  • Collaborate with a skilled team on installations and project rollouts
