About the role

You will be an integral part of the outbye team, report directly to the Senior Electrical Engineer and indirectly to the Outbye Superintendent. You will have an electrical supervisor and electrical trades reporting directly to you.

You will be responsible for:

  • Effectively planning and coordinating electrical activities to ensure the safety, availability, reliability and performance in the outbye area of the mine including conveyors, pumping infrastructure, diesel plant, mine site communications and monitoring
  • Developing an equipment maintenance strategy through monitoring maintenance reports and trends and compliant to with Ulan West's high standards and industry regulations
  • Contributing to the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives with regard to the outbye electrical engineering systems and procedures on site
  • Coordinate and supervise electrical teams and subcontractors.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless operations
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting for electrical issues

Requirements for the role

To succeed in this role, you will possess as a minimum an electrical trade or have obtained a Diploma or Bachelor qualifications in Electrical Engineering. Underground coal experience particularly with conveyors, signal line systems, mine site communications and diesel equipment. You will have excellent leadership and communication skills along with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks.
