Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Workshop Assistant to join our team. The Workshop Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring that bicycles and equipment are prepared, securely loaded, transported, delivered and picked-up, and providing support to the workshop team as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with their hands.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, loading, transport, delivery and pick-up of bicycles and equipment
  • Help to organize and maintain the workshop space
  • Provide support to workshop instructors and participants as needed
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of workshops and events
  • Help to ensure that all workshop activities are conducted safely and in accordance with established procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Workshop Manager

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a workshop or similar environment preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
