The Role

As the Clinical Dentist Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the provision of efficient and effective clinical services across the Central Australian region. You'll ensure services provided are compliant with NT Health policies and procedures and report directly to the Director of Oral Health Services.

Key Duties

• Plan and manage regional services to meet clinical targets and support service review and implementation.

• Lead and support dental and non-dental staff, including recruitment, performance management, mentoring and student supervision.

• Oversee clinical and public oral health services, ensuring effective budgeting, reporting and quality improvement.

• Develop team-based approaches to operations and lead workforce development initiatives.

• Encourage and contribute to quality improvement, research, and development projects.

About You

You're confident managing clinical teams and passionate about community health. To be successful in this role you will have:

• A recognised qualification in Dentistry and current full registration with the Dental Board of Australia.

• Demonstrated competence in clinical dentistry and knowledge of issues relevant to public oral health services.

• Proven ability to manage and lead teams to achieve outcomes and deliver operational effectiveness.

• Well-developed knowledge of contemporary oral health issues, service initiatives and related to the strategic direction of the Department of Health.

• Experience in quality initiatives, strategic planning, information management, change and financial management to achieve successful organisational outcomes.

• Ability to successfully manage dentistry recruitment.
