Are you a structural engineer with 5+ years' experience in remediation, forensic assessment, or temporary works design?

This role offers autonomy, variety, and flexibility – full-time or part-time – working directly with the Director on projects where things have gone wrong and need to be put right.

We are a small, focused consultancy delivering hands-on inspections, forensic investigations, practical structural design, and contractor support. If you want to escape bureaucracy, do real engineering, and see your work built, this role is for you.

The Role

You will take ownership of varied projects, including:


• Forensic inspections and condition assessments


• Remedial design and strengthening solutions


• Temporary works and retrofit design


• Liaison with builders, contractors, and asset owners to ensure solutions are buildable and delivered right

Projects range from basements of high-rise buildings to aging industrial facilities, marine structures, overloaded slabs, and failed waterproofing systems.

About You

We are looking for a practical engineer who can:

  • Assess a structure and make sound calls under pressure
  • Explain things simply and clearly to clients and contractors
  • Balance site work with efficient, buildable design

What you bring:

  • Minimum 5 years' structural engineering experience
  • Background in remedial, forensic, temporary works, or retrofit projects
  • Strong technical skill and knowledge of Australian Standards
  • Solid judgment, clear communication, and problem-solving skills
