- Salary – $113,574 pa - $125,720 pa plus employers' contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
Join the dynamic Policy team within the Office of the NSW Anti-slavery Commissioner (OASC) and help shape innovative policy solutions to combat modern slavery. Working closely with the Commissioner and Principal Policy Manager, you'll contribute to research, development, and implementation of impactful initiatives to combat modern slavery.
What you'll do
In this role, you'll help drive policy initiatives that address modern slavery in NSW by:
- Conducting research and drafting policy documents, briefs and discussion papers
- Helping to draft submissions and reports to Parliament and government bodies
- Supporting projects aligned with the Commissioner's statutory responsibilities
- Helping coordinate stakeholder consultations, working groups and committee meetings
- Building and managing relationsh5rrips across government, civil society, business, and with people with lived experience of modern slavery
- Delivering high-quality policy and law reform advice in a fast-paced, collaborative setting
What we're looking for
We're seeking a motivated policy professional with:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. human rights, law, public policy, sociology, criminology) or equivalent experience
- Experience working on issues related to modern slavery, law reform, human rights, or working with vulnerable communities
- Strong policy analysis, writing, and editing skills
- Excellent communication skills, including trauma-informed and cross-cultural approaches
