People Experience Lead
Lead with purpose. Drive real change. Shape a culture where people truly belong.
At Brisbane Racing Club, we know that behind every exceptional guest experience, there's a team that feels supported, empowered, and proud of where they work. As Queensland's premier racing and events destination, we've built our reputation on passion, tradition, and people. Now, we're looking for a People Experience Lead to help lead the next chapter—focusing on the experience of our people just as much as that of our guests.
In this role, you'll team up with our GM of People, Culture & Safety, collaborating on meaningful initiatives that shape the culture and drive our people strategy forward. This is your opportunity to be both a strategic partner and a hands-on leader, delivering real change across engagement, leadership capability, compliance, and operational excellence. Help us create a people-first culture that's felt at every level of the organisation.
You'll lead a small, high-performing team across People Advisory, Payroll, and Workforce Planning. From coaching leaders through challenging conversations to supporting talent and engagement initiatives, your focus will be on building a workplace where people feel seen, supported, and set up to succeed.
A few things you'll be doing:
- Act as a trusted business partner across the organisation, advising on ER, performance, and workforce planning
- Lead a capable and committed team, helping them grow and thrive
- Oversee the delivery of core HR functions including payroll, policy, compliance, and people systems
- Collaborate on strategic projects such as employee engagement, talent development, and succession planning
- Support the delivery of a people experience that reflects our values and ambition
What we're looking for:
You'll bring experience in a similar people leadership role, strong HR generalist capability, and a confident, people-first approach. You don't need to know everything—but you do need to be proactive, thoughtful, and comfortable navigating ambiguity. If you love working in a dynamic environment where people and culture are a priority, you'll feel right at home here. You'll help us build a workplace where people feel connected, respected, and empowered to do their best work.
Why join us?
At BRC, we offer more than just a job. You'll enjoy:
- A vibrant, community-focused culture
- Discounted hospitality, events, and tickets to race days
- Free onsite parking and wellness initiatives
- Opportunities for learning, growth, and meaningful contribution
This is your opportunity to step into a role where your leadership makes a difference, your ideas are heard, and your work helps shape a better future for everyone at Brisbane Racing Club.
Sound like your kind of role?
Apply now and bring your whole self to work—because that's exactly what we're looking for.
