Job Description

Located in our Sydney Tooling Maintenance Group, the
AME Avionics Tooling Technician
is responsible for performing tooling and equipment service, maintenance and rectification tasks within an asset management system framework, and in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and relevant asset management information systems (MXI).

Your Main Duties Will Include

  • Asset service, inspection, modification and repair of aircraft tooling in a safe, compliant and timely manner
  • Coordinate service and repairs to aircraft tooling and equipment while ensuring that appropriately prioritised processes support to minimise the impact on customer operations
  • Make recommendations for greater efficiency and more effective pending maintenance problems and trends
  • Ensuring that all work is completed to company and industry standards
  • Required to demonstrate leadership and organisational skills necessary to efficiently meet performance requirements in a changing work environment
  • Ensuring that all workflows are recorded to the appropriate asset management information systems
  • Working in accordance with Qantas S.A.F.E safety management system
  • Supporting & promulgating any local safety issues/initiatives and be proactive in identifying safety hazards/controls

You'll Need

  • Trade certificate (Avionics / Electrical trade certificate or equivalent)
  • Relevant Aircraft Tooling or plant and equipment maintenance trade experience
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of tooling or plant and equipment maintenance procedures
  • A current electrical contractors or supervisors license
  • A current driver Licence
  • Excellent communication skills; interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Commitment to being customer focused with flexibility and willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as required. Excellent organisation skills and sound computer literacy
  • Previous asset maintenance experience would be highly regarded.
  • Proven ability in technical problem-solving ability and asset maintenance experience
  • Commitment to be a highly customer-focused team worker with flexibility and willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as required.
