About the role

JHB Carpentry Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time, qualified carpenter to join our team in Brisbane, QLD.

As a Qualified Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing and repairing a variety of wooden structures and fixtures to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

  • Reading and interpreting plans, sketches and specifications to determine project requirements
  • Selecting and safely operating power tools and equipment to measure, cut, shape and assemble wood components
  • Ensuring all work meets building codes, safety regulations and quality standards
  • Collaborating with other tradespeople and team members to complete projects on time and within budget
  • Managing a team of trades and apprentices
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment

What we're looking for

  • Formal carpentry qualification such as a Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a qualified carpenter, preferably in the residential construction industry including newbuilds, framing, soffits, cladding, fixout's.
  • Excellent woodworking skills and the ability to read and interpret plans
  • Proficient with a range of hand and power tools
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A valid driver's licence with transport
  • A valid white card
