In Metroll Victoria, we have 7 branches serving our loyal customers from metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Currently we have fantastic opportunities available for loading positions in night shift at our Pakenham plant. Monday to Friday shifts available.

Role and Responsibilities

This role is primarily to load vehicles.  To achieve this there are the following responsibilities:

  • Optimize loading area to enable efficient loading.
  • Ensure that all loading / un-loading tasks are conducted in a safe manner.
  • Ensure that loaded goods are safely placed and secured in a safe manner.
  • Assist other night loading personnel as required.
  • Cooperate with Transport Manager and the OH&S department in compliance with, and the addressing of OH&S issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all operational procedures
  • Assist in stock recording and control as required.
  • Conduct a reasonable amount of overtime if required.
  • Other duties that are reasonably required by management.
  • Safe use of overhead cranes and forklifts

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Ability to take instructions.
  • Intermediate level of alpha and numeric skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Product Knowledge (Preferred but not essential, training will be provided).
  • Able to work independently.
  • Ability to safely and competently operate overhead gantry crane.
  • Ability to safely and competently operate forklift (License essential).
  • Job is physically demanding and requires a high level of manual handling which includes;
  • Repetitive handling of weights up to 20Kg's.
  • Frequent boarding and alighting from forklifts.

Forklift license is required and experience in loading metal products would be an advantage. Excellent working conditions with regular overtime available.

HC or HR license preferred.
