Victoria, Brisbane and NSW, providing a full range of raw and cooked food solutions across a range of proteins to the retail and food service sectors.

We are seeking to employ an Warehouse Supervisors for AM shift. This role is full-time Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday and based at the Broadmeadows site. This role will report to the Warehouse Manager.

The successful candidate will advance their career towards managing a FMCG warehouse. The management team will be there to help support and guide you along this journey. This role will be reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensuring the efficient damage free storage and handling of all product from Production
  • Ensure the day-to-day workflow occur with effective use of resources and staff.
  • Ensuring the efficient and cost-effective use of shuttles to and from our 3PL providers
  • Ensuring daily toolbox meetings are occurring and the principles of 5S are implemented.
  • Ensuring safe and effect loading of trucks, containers, dock management to eliminate any product damage.
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely receipt of inwards goods in the Business Central system and then it storage onsite in the appropriate location.
  • Ensuring all incoming meat and dry goods deliveries comply with QA procedures and any issues notified immediately to QA department.
  • Ensuring the process and timelines for transfer of meat to temping room is maintained.
  • Ensuring inventory accuracy is maintained by warehouse employees using scanning technology.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate pallet management for the site.
  • Confirm time windows for 3 PL carriers for customer DCs deliveries and any related tasks.
  • Ensuring the meeting of accurate and timely picking of customer orders, including batch management is maintained and the meeting of delivery lead times, including all requirements for dispatching to meet agreed customers' expectations with regard to picking and dispatching orders.
  • Ensure daily /weekly stock counts are completed and are accurate.
  • Liaise with customer service, 3 PL and planning departments regarding supplying raw materials, customer's orders on time and in full and ensure that all labor is effectively utilized.
  • Maintain and continually improve SOP in line with Lean, 5S operational thinking while working closely with management.
  • Provide Leadership and guidance to the subordinates to ensure their effectiveness in achieving objectives.
  • Ensure that the required standards of professionalism, skills and knowledge are achieved and maintained.
  • Ensure adequate documentation and training is made available to all warehouse employees relating to the correct operation of the warehouse and equipment is maintained. Picking and Business central procedures, customer specific requirements, dispatch documents and lead times. Equipment manuals and sanitation procedures.
  • Recommend to Warehouse/ Distribution Manager internal and external training requirements for staff.
  • Provide feedback or counselling with subordinates regarding disciplinary measures in consultation with the Warehouse Manager.
  • Ensure that all areas are staffed and according to organizational budgets and meet customer service requirements.
  • Ensure that all awards and in house agreements are adhered to.
  • Liaise with other departments as required.
  • Maintain good communication with all departments on site.
  • Provide KPI'S figures to the direct manager.
  • Relay communication between warehouse and company managers daily.

To be successful in this position, you must have the following:

  • Experience leading a warehouse team preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with a very 'hands on' approach
  • Experience with short self-life product & stock rotation
  • Professional and positive work ethic
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn with a "can do" attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Forklift license
  • RF scanning experience.
  • Fluent verbal & written English communication skills.
  • Proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite in particular Word and Excel
