WCP Civil is currently seeking a Regional HSEQ Advisor.

This role is a regional position (mostly Southwest & the Wheatbelt WA) with a 10/4 DIDO roster. Albany resident candidates are encouraged to apply.

Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, you will support them and the project management team with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements across multiple regional sites.

The ideal candidate will be a positive communicator and have the ability to mentor and educate site personnel on their HSEQ requirements.

Skills & Experience:

  • Full Australian working rights with no restrictions - essential
  • Proven experience on Civil Constructionprojects - essential.
  • Cert IV Occupational Health & Safety / Work Health & Safety - essential.
  • Experience in a similar role
  • The right attitude and willingness to learn about the business and the way it operates.
  • High level investigation skills and experience.
  • High level of emotional intelligence is required.
  • Proactive approach to delivering on multiple tasks across multiple sites.
  • Current Driving License and White Card.
  • Current First Aid
  • Able to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 standard requirements, and how they are to be implemented.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support Project teams with compliance with regulatory, legislative, internal & client HSEQ requirements.
  • Actively manage on-site risks.
  • Coach and mentor project teams - participate in facilitating daily pre-shift meetings and weekly toolbox meetings.
  • Assist and support Operations in producing effective project HSEQ Management Plans, Risk Management processes and other project requirements.
  • Ensure operations are in accordance with HSEQ standards.
  • Conduct regular HSEQ inspections, safety interactions & audits.
  • Perform inductions & training as required.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance and ISO accreditation across the business.
  • Involvement in the review and approval process for HSEQ Management System documentation.
  • Facilitating Risk Management processes – Risk Assessments, Hazard Identification, SWMS, JSA's, and Permits.
  • Conduct in-depth investigations when incidents occur and contribute intelligently to improvements required by the business in response.
