As our
Privacy Specialist
, reporting to the
Group Manager Privacy & Information Governance
, you will support the Group Risk division in implementing and maintaining a culture of privacy and responsible data use. This aligns with our company vision to build trust with our customers, team members and partners through ethical and compliant data practices.
This is a fantastic opportunity where you will help drive a culture of excellence in privacy risk management and champion privacy best practice across the organisation.
A few of your responsibilities:
- Conduct regular Privacy Impact Assessments and provide SME advice on initiatives involving personal information.
- Manage and respond to requests for information pursuant to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
- Review third-party contracts and advise on adequacy of privacy clauses.
- Assess and respond to data breach incidents in accordance with TSEG's Data Breach Response Plan.
- Support reporting to senior management by gathering insights and trends in privacy compliance.
- Assist in implementing and maturing TSEG's Privacy Management Framework.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in data or privacy-related roles.
- Professional qualifications, preferably legal or risk and compliance related.
- Strong knowledge of privacy laws and data governance practices.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity and complexity.
