The Role

As our Safety, Quality, and Environment (SQE) Coordinator, you will assist in the development and maintenance of SQE policies, processes, and systems, ensuring regulatory compliance. You will also collaborate with and mentor operational and business leaders to continually improve A-Gas' safety and environmental performance.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Deploying SQE programs to facilitate the safe and sustainable integration of A-Gas standards.
  • Advising on developing, implementing, and reviewing A-Gas' SQE Management System
  • Coordinating the reporting and investigation of incidents with accuracy.
  • Monitoring programs that promote hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control.
  • Supporting the completion of training, site risk assessments, and Work Instructions.
  • Participating in health and safety initiatives, audits, and compliance activities.

Key experiences and skills include:

  • Strong knowledge of SQE processes and experience in a similar role.
  • Qualification in OHS, safety, or a related discipline.
  • Competency and experience with SQE systems, workplace safety, and ISO standards.
  • Confidence in coaching and building relationships with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in workplace risk assessments, auditing, and reporting.
