The Opportunity:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient supervision and development of both field and office staff, the coordination of subcontractors, and the delivery of high-quality construction and maintenance projects. This position is integral to ensuring safe, cost-effective, and timely outcomes while maintaining strong standards of customer service and compliance with WH&S practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the planning and delivery of construction and maintenance projects.
  • Support and develop staff and subcontractors to achieve project goals.
  • Conduct accurate condition assessments and cost estimations.
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality supervisory services across various project types.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation including tenders, quotes, material lists, and work programs.
  • Conduct inspections and surveys, including sampling of building materials (e.g. for suspected asbestos).
  • Implement and monitor WH&S systems including site inspections, audits, equipment checks, and risk assessments.
  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance in collaboration with WHS Advisors and the WHS Manager.

Essential Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role within the construction or maintenance industry.
  • Strong computer skills for project planning, documentation, and communication.
  • Current Workplace Health & Safety General Safety Induction Card (White Card).
  • Ability to travel for up to 4 nights at a time (or as negotiated), including occasional light aircraft travel. Overnight travel (up to 4 nights) and road/air travel are essential components of the role.
  • Current Driver's Licence is essential.
  • Willingness to undergo a Criminal History Check (must be within 3 months of employment offer).

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Construction industry-related trade qualification (highly regarded).
