About Greenway Views

LDK Seniors' Living's flagship village, Greenway Views, is in Greenway, Tuggeranong in Canberra, opposite the South Point shopping centre and walking distance to the Tuggeranong town centre. The village consists of 327 apartments, spread over five buildings that is about half a kilometre long from end-to-end. Greenway Views is home to nearly 400 residents over the age of 65. The village has over 6,000 square metres of communal space facilitating social connectedness and a vibrant village community. LDK delivers lifestyle-for-life through a variety of age-friendly facilities, amenities and activities for both independent and non-independent residents. On-site facilities include a gym, art centre, chapel, dance room, theatre, library, several hospitality outlets, village shed, barber shop, hairdresser, medical consultation room, grocer, purpose designed meeting spaces and a dog park.

About the role

At Greenway Views, our Hospitality team is seeking a casual Food & Beverage attendant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional ready to contribute to making a difference in our seniors' lives. The successful applicant will provide a warm, friendly, and efficient food and beverage service to our residents and other guests, ensuring exceptional service standards are delivered and always maintained in line with resident expectations.

This role will be working throughout the week between 0700am - 2200pm.

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating a warm and welcoming environment for all residents and guests
• Ensure that resident and guest requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively and an exceptional service is always delivered
• Familiarise yourself with the food and beverage offering to answer any questions residents and guests may have
• Take food and beverage orders and ensure that orders are communicated to the kitchen and bar promptly and accurately
• Ensure an efficient and safe delivery of all food and beverage orders in line with resident expectations
• Set up, clear and promptly service tables after use to ensure that residents and guests can be seated in a timely manner

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
• Food Handlers Certificate
• Completion of accredited Barista Course (desirable)
• First Aid Certificate (desirable)
• One year of experience working in a similar role and/or environment
• Ability to work under pressure and juggle competing priorities in a busy environment
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills with an engaging and friendly personality
