As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.
In this critical role, you will apply your technical expertise to develop and maintain power distribution and industrial control systems on our Hot Mills equipment. What Will You Do?
Working with multi-disciplinary teams, you will provide technical expertise in areas such as design, power systems, drives, control systems, equipment selection and technology improvement identification.
You will also:
- provide electrical engineering support for the day to day operations of the plant
- investigate and implement process improvement projects
- deliver continuous improvement outcomes to support the production and supply of our products
More About You
You will have experience in facilitating engineering design, tender, supply, construction and commissioning. You will also have:
- a degree qualification in electrical engineering
- experience with automation systems, PLC, HMI, DCS & SCADA
- experience with low voltage distribution systems and motor controls
- experience with variable speed drives and closed-loop control systems
- sound technical problem solving and trouble shooting skills
