Due to an internal promotion, we have an opportunity for a Stock Control Assistant to join our team at Brighton Honda, Chery & Geely

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an Administration / Registration Clerk to join our Brighton Honda, Chery & Geely team. In this role, you will manage vehicle inventory by tracking stock levels, coordinating the flow of vehicles in and out, and keeping the sales team informed. Additionally, you will handle all VicRoads registration duties, including plate swaps, transfers, renewals, and ensuring full compliance with legislative requirements. Working closely with the Senior Stock Controller and Department Managers, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring vehicles are ready for sale and properly registered.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist the Senior Stock Controller and Dealer Principal with purchasing and managing vehicle inventory.
• Support the sales team in the ordering of vehicles.
• Ensure vehicles are processed, prepared, and ready for delivery.
• Manage administrative tasks relating to inventory purchases with accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee all vehicle registration functions, ensuring compliance with legislation.
• Keep stock records current and accurate within the DMS (Dealership Management System).
• Identify and resolve errors, inaccuracies or discrepancies in stock records.

About You

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Previous experience in stock/inventory control, ideally in a dealership or automotive environment.
• Solid understanding of VicRoads procedures, including plate swaps, vehicle transfers, registration renewals, and related compliance requirements.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Problem-solving ability and initiative.
• Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills with a team and customer focus.
• Attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
• Familiarity with DMS systems and Microsoft Office (desirable but not essential).
