Trade Sails Australia is a family-owned business specialising in custom-made shade sails for professional installers across Australia. We support our customers from design to completion, ensuring high-quality, durable products. Based in Biggera Waters, we take pride in our tight-knit, friendly team and offer a great work-life balance.
The Role
We're looking for a Trade Assistant to join our manufacturing team. No prior experience is needed—full training is provided. You'll assist in the production of premium shade sails, learning the craft of shade sail making while working alongside experienced team members.
- Manufacture shade sails according to design specifications.
- Measure, mark, and cut materials to the required shape and size.
- Operate industrial sewing machines to seam fabrics together.
- Wire and finish shade sails to ensure durability.
- Assist with general factory duties as required
What We Offer
Permanent part-time position with flexible hours hours per week)
Monday to Friday, between 6 AM – 2 PM (no weekends)
Supportive and friendly team environment
Full training provided—learn a unique trade
Stable and long-term opportunity with room to grow
What We're Looking For
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills
- Physically fit (some lifting and manual work involved)
- Able to work independently once trained
- Own transportation to our Biggera Waters location
