About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our team at Field Cuisine in Acacia Ridge, QLD. As a permanent part-time Kitchen Hand, you will be responsible for supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring the smooth running of our busy kitchen. This position is Monday - Sunday on a rotating roster.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting with food preparation, including salad mixing, oven work and portioning ingredients

  • Keeping the kitchen clean and sanitized by washing dishes, mopping floors and wiping down surfaces

  • Restocking and maintaining inventory of kitchen supplies and equipment

  • Following all food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness

  • Reporting to the Kitchen Supervisor and supporting the kitchen team with any other tasks as required

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand or in a similar role within the Food Manufacturing industry

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions

  • Flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of a busy kitchen environment

  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
