Receptionist / Allrounder Administration

Ear & Hearing Australia has been providing Premium Hearing Care in the field of Audiology for almost 25 years. We have several Clinics in Melbourne and due to recent expansion, we are now seeking an additional Administration / Reception role for our organisation.

The Ear and Hearing Australia team is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic new receptionist. When working in the Hearing Healthcare industry, there is a focus on compassion and patience when dealing with clients who will often have hearing impairments. There is also an emphasis on understanding the importance of creating and maintaining customer relationships with a predominantly older clientele.

Successful applicants will be trained in Kew, however there are opportunities to move to Toorak, Camberwell, Ashburton, Malvern and CBD Offices; once training is complete.

Applicant Criteria and Personal Competencies:

• Experience in medical administrative work is a big plus, but not essential.
• Recent experience using computers and common programs (Microsoft office / Emails / Calendars).
• Good interpersonal communication skills, both with clients and other team members.
• Has a proactive approach to their work tasks and can work autonomously.
• Flexibility with working at different office locations, if other staff need shifts covered.
• Experience in using MYOB or other accounting software is not essential, but favourable.
• Good multitasking skills; can handle the front desk during peak times, which includes multiple phone calls at once.
• Can effectively communicate using a high level of spoken and written English.

Role Characteristics:

• Answering phone calls and assisting walk-in clients with their enquiries.
• Making and modifying appointments, as well as coordinating the calendar.
• Processing of files and documents following appointments.
• Providing administrative support to clinicians and management.
• Processing orders, sales, and purchases.
