This position is a member of the TAIHS multidisciplinary team. The Senior Receptionist/Allied Health Assistant is responsible for providing support to Allied Health Professionals to deliver health care services to TAIHS patients under the supervision of an Allied Health Professional.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients/visitors presenting to the clinic
- Ensure a high standard of care and confidentiality is provided to patients, doctors, and workforce
- Ensure the provision of excellent communication and customer skills to patients and employees
- Assist patients with enquires and appointments when they arrive at the clinic in person
- Answer phones and incoming enquiries in a timely confidential fashion
- Book and confirm patient/transport appointments
- Undertake general administrative duties to support the effective operations of the clinic
- Ensure a friendly and courteous disposition with all communication
- Ensure all client documentation is scanned accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensure patient appointments including bookings, confirming, cancellation, rescheduling as required is actioned
- Provide administrative support for Health Professionals, i.e., filing, scanning, and photocopying
- Support patients attending appointments
- Assist visiting allied health providers such as optometrist, podiatrist, dietician and visiting medical specialists
- Coordinate client bookings and patient transport
- Stock, tidy and set up clinical rooms
- Support reports on patient attendance and service delivery
