Job Summary
As a Senior Engineer - Data Platforms, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality, fit-for-purpose data solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

You'll collaborate closely with product teams, analysts, data scientists, and engineers to design, build, and maintain scalable modern data solutions — while mentoring others and shaping best practices in data engineering.

This is a great opportunity for someone who's passionate about data, thrives in a collaborative environment, and enjoys working with modern technologies like Databricks, dbt, Fivetran, GCP, and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade data pipelines and solutions using modern data stacks.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Develop APIs and integrations ensuring performance, stability, and security.
• Lead development of Power BI semantic models with strong governance and scalability.
• Ensure data quality, completeness, and compliance with governance standards.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless delivery.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and contribute to design and training materials.
• Mentor and guide data engineers (local and offshore), fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years' experience in a senior data engineering role.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Python, Databricks, dbt, Fivetran, and GCP (mandatory)
• Source control and CI/CD pipelines
• Automated testing, debugging, and performance optimisation
• Proven ability to design and implement logical and physical data models.
• Deep understanding of data quality, governance, and security best practices.
• Experience working in Agile environments and modern DevOps practices.
