Community Carer

As an In-Home Care Carer, you'll provide personalized, compassionate care that helps our consumers remain in their homes while supporting their dignity and well-being. Responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene, meal preparation, household tasks, wellness activities, and transportation to appointments.

Key Responsibilities
- Care Delivery: Provide support tailored to each consumer's needs, from personal care and respite to housekeeping and companionship.
- Consumer Monitoring: Observe and report on consumer conditions, ensuring services align with their care plans.
- Communication & Coordination: Maintain open communication with Sundale team members, health professionals, and external service providers.
- Record Keeping: Establish and maintain accurate, confidential consumer reporting systems
What We're Looking For
- Skills & Experience: Experience in personal care, household duties, and working within aged care services.
- Knowledge: Understanding of infection control, aged care legislation, dementia care, and Work Health & Safety principles.
- Attributes: Strong interpersonal communication, both written and verbal, with a positive outlook and the ability to work within a flexible team environment.
- Competence: Ability to work autonomously, ensuring duties are performed within State and Legislative frameworks, maintaining the dignity and confidentiality of consumers at all times.
Essential Requirements:
- Certificate III in Home, Community Care, Aged Care or Individual Support (desirable)
- Police Check
- Pre-employment medical
- Current Queensland Driver's License.
- A safe and reliable vehicle that is appropriate for transporting Sundale consumers and their associated equipment
Provide Sundale with copies of:
- Current vehicle registration.
- Comprehensive third-party compulsory insurance certificate.

Availability
Various shifts between 6:00am and 8:00pm working across 7 days a week, evening and weekend shifts on rotation.
