Where you'll be working

Belmont Hospital's Operating Suite is a busy and rewarding environment, comprising of four operating theatres that run Monday to Friday. Shifts are staggered between 0700 and 1930, giving you both variety and the balance to enjoy life outside of work.

About the role

As a Registered Nurse in Anaesthetics or PACU, you'll play an essential role in ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative care. This is a role for nurses who enjoy being hands-on, thinking quickly, and making a tangible difference in patients' lives during critical moments.

You'll be supported by a skilled multidisciplinary team across a range of surgical specialties, working in an environment that values both your professional growth and your wellbeing.

About you

You're a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse ready to step into the fast-paced world of perioperative nursing. With the completion of a Transition New Graduate Program or equivalent in an acute care setting, you bring a solid foundation of skills and a commitment to continuous growth.

You deliver care with professionalism and integrity, maintaining clear ethical boundaries while working closely with a multidisciplinary team. Evidence-based practice and critical thinking guide your decisions, and you take pride in advocating for patients, ensuring their care is individualised and person-centred.

Colleagues know you as approachable and personable, someone who communicates effectively, resolves conflicts with respect, and contributes positively to team culture. You're eager to share your knowledge and professional expertise to lift the standard of care for patients and support those around you.

Requirements

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Completion of a 12 month New Graduate Program, or equivalent experience, in an acute care hospital.
  • Commitment to infection control, safety, and quality patient care
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday is required
