About the role

Kelly and Chapman are seeking a talented Litigation Lawyer to join their dynamic team in Bentleigh, Victoria. As a Litigation Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality legal services to our diverse client base, with a focus on litigation and dispute resolution. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What you'll be doing

• Representing clients in a variety of civil and commercial litigation, estate dispute matters and some family law matters, including court proceedings, alternative dispute resolution , VCAT
• Conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and providing strategic advice to clients
• Managing a diverse caseload, ensuring timely and effective resolution of disputes
• Collaborating with other members of the legal team to deliver exceptional client service
• Staying up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations
• Providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years' experience in litigation and dispute resolution, preferably within a reputable law firm or in-house legal team
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear and concise language
• Proven track record of successful litigation outcomes and client satisfaction
• Thorough understanding of relevant laws and regulations, including civil procedure, contract law, deceased estate and VCAT
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
• Commitment to professional development and a collaborative team environment
